Welcome to second grade at Guidance Educational Academy. Second grade is an important time for the academic and social development of your children. We will be spending considerable time this year working to build on reading, writing, and math skills. We will also be exploring science and social studies through reading, discussion, and simple lab activities. Our goal is to encourage students to explore their individual interests in these areas while improving their skills in all areas of the curriculum.

We will do our best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom. However, we cannot do this alone. We need each of you to encourage your child at home by helping to ensure that they have completed their assignment, and help them study for quizzes and tests.
